His most famous feat, the mysterious candle trick, has been amazed audiences for years. But just before the show, he discovers his unique candles are missing from the clothes cabinet behind the scenes. Without them, the trick can't be done. Victor searches through dressing stations, cloakrooms, rooms, storerooms, finding strange clues suggesting candles have been deliberately moved. With a target audience waiting past the curtain he must search every nook and cranny backstage, finding them before show time.
